Serving as Operating Partner for CS Capital, Erik Schmit provides guidance and leadership to the portfolio companies to help foster the company’s strategic direction and growth.
Before his tenure with CS Capital, from 2016 onwards, Erik was with First Advantage (NASDAQ: FA), owning and driving growth in the international markets around the globe. FA is the largest global background screening provider in the world with consolidated revenues of < 1B USD. Throughout his time at First Advantage, Erik served as the Chief Revenue Officer and led international markets. During his tenure with FA, the business was sold to Silverlake in 2019 and listed on the NASDAQ in 2021.
Prior to FA, Erik brings a wealth of experience working with PE-backed HR tech organizations across Europe and the USA, notably Lumesse, which was acquired by CornerstoneOnDemand. For his work in APAC in HR Tech, Erik has received numerous accolades over the years for his in-depth knowledge and understanding of the markets. Erik actively contributes to industry publications, journals, webinars, and conferences.
He earned his Master’s degree in business economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
